Default Character Bios

Maybe they should let you write a bio for your character that other players can read. This would help people spot noobs and also let people explain their play styles, etc.

Amen to that, SWG had a great bio system. You could tell who was an idiot or not from what they wrote in it, if they used it.

I don't know if ANet will ever include a feature like that but thanks to our sister site CoHGuru, I've become acquainted with something along those lines with Crey Industries. It would be out of game but I don't think it would be too hard to put together something like that for Guild Wars...

I absolutely like the idea. It's easy to implement, very useful even though optional.

why make it optional? Simply make people fill in something, then again whats to stop people putting all sorts in there. Still a filter system could be added to * star out bad words and such.

I haven't expressed it properly, sorry. I mean it's optional cos if you want you type something in it, if not it doesn't really matter.

I see matey Will or make it if you don't want to type something, GW will just add a general character class description. So if your a Warrior/Ranger it will explain that is what you are

Think how Bolder's Gate use to be.

Guild Wars could do better, and describe you from where you put your attributes.

i'd like this. why? because i've made up background stories for my characters on my own forums, but people on guild wars dont wanna go to my forum when they could see the story in-game. These are ROLE-PLAYING characters! lol.

I have probably over 30 RPG charcaters on paper from two decades of gaming.. You think I got time to tell each and every individual person I meet who my character is, where they come from and what their goals, motivations are for the meager 4 I picked? I may have some time on my hands, but not enough to RP 100% with no action at all.... A nice short optional bio would be great (use it or not it dont matter). Non Rp's would most likely skip it while us hard core rp's would definately use it...

Great idea. Makes the game more immersive, which I wish the game was.

Wow, finally a suggestion that nobody objects to.

The game officials should pay attention to this.

Bump to increase the chance that this gets noticed by the game makers.
